The Good Beer Guide 2025 - and we're in it again!!

We were thrilled to discover that we have retained our spot in CAMRA’s Good Beer Guide 2025.

From our welcome letter..."Just 4,500 out of the nation’s 50,000 pubs are listed in the Guide, all of which undergo a rigorous selection process by local CAMRA volunteers to seek out and promote the finest outlets for real ale across the UK. Your inclusion speaks volumes for the high standards of your pub, staff and of course, the consistent quality of your real ale"

We were so pleased when our secret visitor revealed he was from CAMRA and gave us the great news which we had to keep secret until the books official launch!

Lee works hard and is meticulous in keeping the real ales and beers we sell in tip top condition, we have a selection of 3 ales which we stock year round and we like to support our local breweries.  Devon’s Dartmoor Brewery Jail Ale is a permanent fixture as is Otter Brewery’s Otter Amber, we also have St. Austell’s Tribute from over the border in Cornwall.  With our guest pump we like to showcase ales from other local breweries such as Exmoor and Exeter ales from time to time, we are spoilt in this part of the world with some excellent little breweries.

However, our inclusion in the guide represents not only our beer but our wonderful staff too so let’s raise a glass to good beer, cheers all!
